Rev. Reet Mae, is an Interfaith Minister, Interfaith Spiritual Director, Co-Producer, Co-Director and Researcher working on multiple adult and child mental health projects, that included award winning video-based training for mental health workers, and animation and video-based Apps for child mental health. She is Researcher/Producer for the project, "in Search of our Fathers" and as Co-Producer, Co-Director "Patterns of Freedom" / "Vabaduse Mustrid" and supported fundraising, supervised script development, editing and social media outreach for the film. She developed curriculum materials in English and Estonian that are available through a web portal and were submitted for piloting to the Ministry of Education in Estonia. Reet is an artist and illustrated/created a colouring book on Estonian Design to go with the film. Reet is excited to be working on In Search of Our Fathers project, given her interest in understanding the impact of generational trauma and our Estonian identity in exile, the culture in which we were all raised. Reet is also concerned that while more attention is now paid to the impact of colonialism in the Western world, the impact of Soviet colonialism remains little recognized and the stories of the Baltic countries are important in understanding and combatting this in the present day.
